We saw this on Saturday 12th and were very pleasantly surprised having read the previous reviews. We aren't Elvis officianadoes and don't even know much of the music of that era but we thorougly enjoyed the show. Jerry Lee Lewis was outstanding and the whole theatre was upstanding at the end, begging for more - that speaks volumes. A great new show for London.

We saw this show last year in Chicago. It is truly magnificent. Poignant, funny, intriguing and uplifting - all played out against a background of stunningly performed early rock n roll numbers. Breathtaking. We will make sure we catch it again in London.

I had high expectations for this show. Being a fan of both Elvis and Johnny Cash, and knowing the story of the studio session for some time, I was looking forward to seeing the recreation of that day. Unfortunately, as soon as Elvis opened his mouth, and my girlfriend's grip on my knee tightened, I wanted to leave. I have heard and seen much more convincing imitators than this guy, and he's lucky I wasn't in the audition panel. The acting was no better than "high school show". As for the female singer, I winced every time she approached the microphone, so penetrating and shrill was her voice. Jerry Lee was ok and Perkins was passable. The star of the show for me was Derek Hagen as Johnny Cash. He had the voice and the moves down to a tee. I would've preferred to spend my money on a show with just him doing Cash songs. Maybe it was just us, because the sea of grey haired, leather trousered, bowler hatted, post-menopausal theatre goers surrounding us seemed to be oblivious to how awful

We saw the London show last night, absolutely brilliant from the minute it started to the closing notes... vibrant, full of energy and emotion, foot tapping, hand clapping.... superb cast. Highly recommended. What a brilliant start to the new year theatre calendar, setting the standards..A step back in history where you really felt part of the memorable day in 1956.

Watched show on sat night 12th feb.absolutly fabulous.Ignore the fact that the boys dont quite look like elvis etc,although they do have the mannerisms.Just enjoy the rocking music actually played by the individuals.Try and get box seat.Right on top of stage.See and hear (huge speaker in the box)everything.At stage door 2 of the performers said "Weren,t you in the box"awesome great night!

I took my husband to see this tonight, as a Valentine's gift. He was really looking forward to it and me, I was just going because he wanted to see it. I'm so glad I was there, it was amazing, brilliant! From the moment they started playing I was mesmerised. I was dancing in my seat! :-) I left the theatre feeling excited and laughing and happy. If you're not sure whether to go or not, just do!

Saw the show on Friday 11th my daughter and I are avid theatre goers the only good thing about the show was Ben Goddard who played Jerry Lee Lewis he was brilliant.I like to leave a show singing the songs and wanting to see it again but to be honest I listened to the soundtrack of dreamboats on my daughters ipod on the way home, will not be going back.

Saw this last week. I thought it was really bad. The acting is awkward and the story doesn't allow the actors, obviously talented though they are, to show any range. The Jerry Lee Lewis character is the only redeeming virtue of this dreadful mess. In the end, it's like sitting through 100 minutes of some mediocre 50s cover band. Avoid this show.

My husband and I went to see the show last friday night. From the opening we could see we would enjoy the evening of entertainment. It was fabulous, and Jerry Lee Lewis brought the piano alive he almost made it talk. Elvis is what should be expected for the time it was set in. He hadn't then developed all the skill and movements he was later to have. Congrats to them all for a fantastic night of live music I will never forget. Sam Phillips was great to.

I saw this last night, and I didn't know much of the story, but I do like the songs from the era so thought I would chance it in previews. I was not disappointed. All the songs had my foot tapping, and by the end of the night I was on my feet dancing. From my vantage point I could see the stalls and although no one danced in the aisle until the end, I could see feet tapping away! I thought Sam Philips did a good job improvising when his phone "broke" and although he started giggling, he pulled through! I thought the songs were better when the electric guitar was not involved (the spirituals had amazing harmonies) and I thought Jerry Lee Lewis was the better performer. All in all it was much better value for money than the last show I saw in previews (I'm looking at you Wizard of Oz). And the sing a long at the end made me leave with a smile on my face and dancing on the tube! (again take note WoOZ)

Got to agree with some of the previous reviewers (especially hmm ;)). Good show, good tunes, good acting, good time had by all. I dont really know much about this era of music but I found myself tapping along to almost every song. Great ending that left me feeling like I had had an excellent night out. I doubt it will win prizes for the best west end show, but it is certainly a good addition and well worth a visit.

I booked tickets to this show as a surprise for my dad who lived through the whole Rock n' Roll revolution and these guys were amongst his idols. As i had listened to the records played by my dad when i was growing up i was familiar with the songs, so ik knew i would be able to sing along with a few but did'nt expect how into the whole show i got. by the end everyone was standing up, dancing, clapping and cheering. Jerry Lee certainly stole the show giving us alot of laughs with his antics and by halfway through you could beleive these were actually the real singers on stage. Carl Perkins played an awesome guitar and i also fell in love with him. I had the most amazing experience i had never been to a show before and definately glad i saw this one. I would go and see it again it was that good. Well done you boys you thouroughly made my trip to London i would recomed this show to anyone old and young

Went to see this on the 19 Feb.The audience were mixed in age but all were appreciative of the performances given and the show received a standing ovation at close.Performances were overall very good; Sam Phillips and Jerry Lee were the best of the bunch.Jerry Lee brought a wonderful energy to the stage and was thoroughly entertaining to watch.We all agreed that 'Elvis' was missing something. His singing was not strong enough nor was his stage presence.Also the female character was weak and unnecessary.She added nothing to the show...except a token female presence. Overall the show was entertaining and the finale was stunning.

Million Dollar Quartet is splashy. It is easy to see that there are big dollars behind it. But its nothing really special. If you want something that is, go see the little show on at the Arts Theatre about Woody Guthrie. This acoustic show runs circles around all the other American shows available in the West End at the moment. I've seen it three times now and each time is more special than the one before. It's called Woody Sez and they have a jam session "hootananny" after the Saturday night show. David Lutken is charming, but it is the women that really give it its authentic feel. All in all, a great evening at the theatre.

man or woman, young or old im sure you will love it as much as we did, we went last week and from curtain up it was fantastic so much so by the end everyone was up and some were dancing by their seets while others were in the isles/infront of the front row dancing away some even did the jive, now some may say elvis didnt look much like him but remember he is a young elvis not the one we all grew to love as for the others well fantastic, brilliant, amazing i could go on & on & on but i wont all i have left to say is for me the best was Ben who plays jerry lee, so if i was you then i would not miss it im going back and have already got my tickets and im sure ill go again before it ends in october (unless they extend it which im sure they will) and to think it is still only previewing (opens monday 28th feb) GO SEE IT I PROMISE YOU WONT REGRET IT YOU'LL ONLY REGRET IT WHEN YOU MISS IT AND THE RUN ENDS

Brilliant, you dont often get a show with that much passion any more. The talent of the musician / actors to be skilled in both is no easy feat. If your love this era of music you will surely love this show.

Went last night absolutely fantastic. All the actors were great in their roles especially Ben Goddard as Jerry Lee Lewis so funny. And the added twist of children in needs special appearence by Dionne Bloomfield. You have gotta see this one!
