Why See Game?

Plays

A VOYEURISTIC, ARRESTING INSIGHT INTO 21ST CENTURY LIFE

Mike Bartlett (King Charles III, C*ck/Bull) serves up another dystopian vision in his latest offering. Game is a startling insight into the British housing crisis, focusing on a young couple who discover a dangerous way to live, in order to maintain their dream. But at what cost?

WHAT IS GAME ABOUT?

Game provides a starkly personal and tense focus on a young couple who are trying to create a home for themselves in the context of the current housing crisis. When they are finally offered a house, the couple face a moral and ethical dilemma as they discover how far they are willing to push the boundaries to keep it, and at what personal cost to them both.

The audience are invited to be voyeurs in this unfolding drama, seated in four specially adapted zones in the stalls section, each providing a subtly different experience and perspective on the play, without compromising any of the action on-stage.

Game reunites one of the hottest up and coming young writers, Mike Bartlett (Earthquakes in London, C*ck, King Charles III) with the acclaimed director-designer duo Sacha Wares and Miriam Buether (Wild Swans, Sucker Punch, My Child, generations) in an intriguing, intimate setting.
