Join the Variety Bandwagon for a night of Forties' fun!
An uplifting tribute to wartime London, Radio Times tells the story of a group of radio personalities who are each doing their bit for the war effort. The star of the show is Sammy Shaw, who faces losing the love of his life to another man, and the added pressure of broadcasting live across the Atlantic. Can he keep the show going on whilst the bombs fall outside? With musical classics dating back to the Forties, pin up your hair and line your stockings for an evening of entertaining reminiscence.
The musical harks back to a golden, forgotten time of innocence, with jokes and side-splitting gags and classic songs from the best of British stage talent, as they belt out a series of wartime classics including Run Rabbit Run, Hey Little Hen, My Thanks To You and There’s Something About a Soldier. The musical last played on tour across the UK starring TV personality Gary Wilmott in the lead as Shaw.
