the olivier winning comedy

Following a successful run at the National Theatre, this enlightening musical adaption of Alan Warner's novel won over audiences when it first premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015. A heartwarming and hilarious tale, follow the girls of Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour as they arrive in Edinburgh for a choral competition; however, they have far more than just singing sweetly on their minds! A fantastic coming-of-age story that has captured the love of critics and theatre-goers alike. Lee Hall's critically acclaimed hit musical is only here for a limited period, so don't miss out.

Directed by Vicky Featherstone and designed by Chloe Lamford, the story sparkles with wit and heart as the girls' time in the Scottish capital takes them through love, lust, loss and ends in some literal fireworks. With the play's original cast heading for the West End run, including Kirsty MacLaren, Melissa Allan and Frances Mayli McCann, join the girls from a working-class secondary school on the West Coast town of Oban as they vow to all "go mental". With a mission for alcohol and lusty action with the nearby crew of a submarine base, our heroines begin a hilarious journey that refuses to condemn spirited girlhood.

What we thought

madcap Synthpop ROMP

a genuinely thrilling and clever work that gives young women agency and doesn't judge the teenage experience

Part the History boys with a dash of Miss Jean Brodie, this wonderful show displays the veracity and madness of young women rarely represented on stage without a damning lesson to be learned.
