Following the nail-biting final, dance troupe Diversity were voted by the British public as the winners of Britain’s Got Talent 2009. Diversity will now headline the Britain’s Got Talent Live UK Tour, which starts at Birmingham NIA on Friday 12 June.

Diversity will be joined on tour by all nine other finalists; Susan Boyle, Julian Smith, Shaheen Jafargholi, Aidan Davis, Stavros Flatley, Hollie Steel, Shaun Smith, Flawless and 2 Grand.

Diversity, a 10-piece street dance troupe from Essex, consisting of three groups of brothers and their friends aged from 12-25 years old, stormed last night’s final with their show stopping routine of slick street dance moves and exciting acrobatics. Troupe leader Ashley Banjo, 20 was praised by the judges for his innovative choreography which moved viewers to vote in their millions.

The arena tour, which will travel across the UK until the end of June, will be hosted for the second year running by ITV2’s ‘Britain’s Got More Talent’ presenter Stephen Mulhern.
