Cannibal! The Musical

CANNIBAL! THE MUSICAL

A first class hit with a promising future on the West End.

Fringe Report

Cannibal! The Musical tells the true story of Alferd ?Alfred' Packer, the only American ever to be convicted of cannibalism. As Packer faces a judge and jury, he recounts his journey across Colorado Territory in 1873 leading a hapless group in search of gold.

The sole survivor of that ill-fated trip, Packer tells his side of the harrowing tale to news reporter Polly Pry as he awaits his execution. His story goes like this: while searching for gold, he and his companions lost their way and due to starvation resorted to unthinkable horrors?

Cannibal! The Musical is adapted from the film by the Oscar-nominated Trey Parker, co-creator of cult cartoon hit South Park and Team America: World Police.

This production of Cannibal! The Musical, presented by the Rival Theatre Company, was first seen at the 2008 Edinburgh Festival.
