Following last year's hit run at the Lyric, Julia Donaldson's iconic children's picture book musical stage adaptation returns in summer 2016! When Mouse embarks on an adventurous journey through the deep dark wood, he encounters a myriad creatures. To warn them off, he spins wild yarns about a terrifying creature who prowls the forest. But what will happen when he comes face to face with the mythical beast - the Gruffalo - himself?
Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's award-winning picture book is given the musical treatment for the West End, in this magical, musical play. Youngsters will instantly recognise the characters of the charming story, making this a perfect opportunity to introduce them to theatre in a family friendly environment.
The plucky Mouse embarks on an adventurous journey through the deep dark wood. Along the way he encounters a myriad hungry predators who he scares away with tall stories of the terrifying Gruffalo. But what do you think happens when he comes face to face with the very creature he supposedly conjured up in his stories?
