Lindsay Posner directs David Bamber in this thrilling production
Alan Ayckbourne's harrowing paradoxical tale is revived at the Menier Chocolate Factory, directed by Lindsay Posner that takes you between 2014, 1994 and 1974 on a breakneck, thrilling journey of paradoxical time travel, all to change three women's destinies against incredible odds. First seen in London in 1994, this revival stars David Bamber, Lucy Briggs-Owen and Imogen Stubbs.
When a dominatrix arrives for her appointment at a hotel with an ailing client, she is shocked to discover that she is expected to be a witness to a written murder confession. His murderous, unhinged personal assistant Julian spots her trying to leave with it and tries to attack her; she escapes through the hotel's communicating door into the next room. But she finds herself warped back to 1994, and with a unique chance to save the two murdered women from Julian and his boss Reece; they have an astonishing connection to our heroine. Can these women work together to save all their lives whilst avoiding the terrifying Julian at all costs? And what effects will changing history have on all of them, by warning them of their fates?
