This is a moving, illuminating and finely-acted play that's more evidence of the NT's increasingly outward-looking programming.
Time Out London
The Kos family have always lived in their once-grand ivy clad house in Zagreb, but it is the determination of the women and their desire to survive that defines them. Set against the changing face of Croatia from 1945 to 2011, and the tumult that accompanied the decline of the monarchy, to the rise and fall of communism, sandwiched between war and the hope of democracy, 3 Winters explores the way family changes from generation to generation.
Written by Tena Stivici and directed by Howard Davies, 3 Winters is an epic saga that promises to be an emotional and courageous look at the lives of an eclectic and determined family.
Opening night: 26 November 2014
