Why See Stomp?

Dance & BalletFamily Shows

Must end January 7th, 2018!

The brainchild of Brighton performers Luke Creswell and Steve McNicholas, Stomp takes everyday household objects and turns them into an orchestra of noise. The show originally premiered in 1991 in London's Bloomsbury Theatre to rapturous acclaim. Stomp have appeared on everything from the Royal Variety Performance to the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony and have starred in their own HBO and Sesame Street Specials. Stomp in London is in great company, being just one of the permanent engagements of the show across the globe, including their New York counterpart, that has been running for over 20 years!

What is Stomp?

It's like those times you tapped out a tune on your office desk with your pen, but on a far, far grander scale. Using everything from vacuum cleaners to brooms, the eight performers on stage build a cacophony of heart pounding rhythms, co-ordinated with unbelievable timing and artistry, and laced through with a dash of slapstick humour. Combining dance, theatre and comedy, Stomp is an auditory and visual experience unlike anything you've ever experienced. You'll definitely never look at a dustbin lid the same way again.
