More than just a straightforward tribute show, 20th Century Boy is the beguiling story of the enigmatic, tragic and incredible icon of 1970s Glam Rock, Marc Bolan. Charting his rise to fame and descent into ever more and more flamboyant shows and songs, 20th Century Boy will have you dancing in the aisles to some of the 70s most influential songs!
In the 1960s, Marc Bolan was a shy folk singer with a dream to make it big. With his duo, Tyrannosaurus Rex, he had some modest success, but it was when big time producer Tony Visconti handed him and electric guitar that his life changed forever. From humble beginnings as a London lad to the one of the era's most defining pop stars, 20th Century Boy will chronicle Bolan's life from rags to feather boas, exploring fame and it's dark side. To the soundtrack of T-Rex's riotous back catalogue, the from the electrifying and exotic to the melodically haunting, expect all the favourites, from 'Ride A White Swan' to the titular track; 20th Century Boy.
