A musical like this comes around once in a lifetime!
Sunday Telegraph
Top Hat is a decadent trip down memory lane, to the golden age of 1920 Hollywood glamour, with an unlimited supply of glitz and dazzle to take you away to another era, time after time. Based on the RKO motion picture starring the imitable Fred & Ginger, the West End production was a resounding success, winning 3 2013 Olivier Awards and now heading out on a spectacular UK wide tour.
Featuring a 70 strong company of actors, dancers and musicians, to guide you through the elegance of pre-WW2 Europe, expect an elegant and up-tempo show. With sublime choreography, including tap and ballroom, set to Irving Berlin's unforgettable score, including classics such as 'Let's Face The Music and Dance' and 'Putting on the Ritz'.
Top Hat follows the talented and irrepressible Broadway sensation Jerry Travers, as he dances his way across Europe in pursuit of the beautiful society model Dale Tremont. A case of mistaken identity ensues however, which seems to thwart Jerry's attempts to woo Dale at every almost angle!
This hilarious romantic comedy follows our hero and his muse from London to Venice, the production's brilliant set and costume design doing the iconic Art Deco architecture and fashion of the 1930s much justice.
The West End's original Jerry Travers and Dale Tremont - Tom Chambers and Summer Strallen - will reprise their roles in this UK tour!
