GREAT OPENING NIGHT

I absolutely enjoyed the opening night of Deathtrap. The set, music and effects were first rate and the actors were all great. It was a treat to watch Simon Russell Beale and Jonathan Groff together. I wish I didn't know the plot before I saw this, because I would love to have been as thrilled and shocked as many members of the audience visibly were by the twists in the story. All in all, a wonderful first performance. I wish everyone involved the best. May you have a terrific long run!

WELL DONE

I just returned from the first performance and I'm excited to report that it's a theatre night well spent. Great set, great cast, great performance. You would never know it's their first time with a legit audience. Jonathan's Clifford was precise with a handsome boy next door shell which only covers a fierce Norman Bates glimpsing out. I look forward to seeing how they develop.

FANTASTIC

I had absolutely no idea what the play was about and I was amazed. What a fantastic play. What an excellent play. They best play I have ever seen. The actors, the set, everything - amazing. I agree that under twelves should not see it. But everyone else should see this play if you can.

SUPERB!

I knew very little about the play before going to see it, and can honestly said that I had one of the best theatre experiences of my life. Very funny and compelling, with outstanding performances all round.

UNMISSABLE

Went to see this play on 16 September, not knowing much about it, and had one of the best nights at the theatre for a long time. There are lots of twists and turns to keep the audience enthralled, some great lines, and the cast is excellent. Urging all my friends and family to go, cannot recommend it enough

EXCELLENT - GREAT FUN!

30th October 2010, matinee: Simon Russell Beale was (as always) first rate, & so too were the rest of the cast (including understudy Andrew McDonald)- beautifully acted; funny & tense, with some real "jump in your seat" moments! My 9 year old son was there too - he loved it! I'd say it's fine for kids as long as they're used to live theatre, can concentrate on dialogue, & are not prone to nightmares! Set is fantastic, & it's a wonderful theatre: my favourite West End venue ever since seeing "Oliver!" there back at the tail end of the '70s. It's beautiful; just the "right size"; staff very welcoming & helpful; seats pleasingly olde worlde, but leg room is good. Row H stalls - excellent view, & on past experience I'd say view is pretty good wherever you're sat. A great afternoon's entertainment - highly recommended.
