Eurobeat, the riotously funny and dazzling homage to the biggest annual song contest in Europe, LIVE ON STAGE! Like one enormous and hilarious Eurovision Party! Clackers, flags horns everywhere! Audiences have the power to decide which of the ten competing countries will win so bring your mobile phone and your best or loudest friends and get set for the best night out you will EVER have!
Eurobeat - almost Eurovision, the glorious celebration of everything Eurovision, heralds the dawn of the interactive musical as the audience vote for their favourite song via text messaging*. Eurobeat offers everyone the chance to leap out of the closet and give the UK a genuine opportunity to win Europe's greatest cultural collaboration once more! Terry Wogan will be there in spirit every night – with bells on!
We are in Sarajevo, who have somehow won the rights to host this year's competition. Each audience member will be assigned to one of the ten competing countries as they enter the venue – either with a sticker or branding with a hot iron on the forehead. (It doesn’t matter if you are from Aberdeen or Hull, tonight you are from the country you're given, so get used to it!) Don't forget - you can’t vote for your own country although there is nothing to stop you bribing others.
Competing countries are (in order of appearance):
ITALY, ESTONIA, ICELAND, UNITED KINGDOM, HUNGARY, RUSSIA, IRELAND, GREECE, GERMANY, SWEDEN
*P.S. Voting costs the same as a regular text message.
WARNING: Don't wear mascara to Eurobeat!
