Spring Awakening

SPRING AWAKENING

A straight shot of eroticism steamed open last night under the innocuous name of 'Spring Awakening,' and Broadway, with its often puerile sophistication and its sterile romanticism, may never be the same.

TELL YOUR FRIENDS

“Here it is at last, the answer to one’s prayers - a new musical bursting with ambition and achievement. Spring Awakening bowled me over in New York in 2006. Seeing it again I am more convinced than ever that this is A LANDMARK SHOW."
Charles Spencer, The Daily Telegraph

‘Listen to what’s in the heart of a child….’

In a world where grown-ups hold all the cards, three school friends experience the exhilarating, turbulent journey into adulthood...

Spring Awakening is a vibrant and poignant story about a brilliant young student, Melchior, his troubled friend Moritz, and Wendla, a beautiful teenage girl - all on a voyage of personal discovery and sexual awakening.

Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater's alt-rock musical jumps from Broadway to London after a successful run at the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith.

Based on Franz Wedekind's play of the same name, Spring Awakening boldly depicts how a dozen young people make their way through the thrilling, complicated, confusing and mysterious time of their sexual awakening.
