CINDERELLA

The combination of story, music and dance in The Royal Ballet's Cinderella is hard to beat. All the elements of the story are there: the spiteful Step-sisters, the fairy godmother, the ball, the striking clock. And at the centre is Cinderella whose rags-to-riches journey unites her with her handsome prince.

Celebrated actor, comedian, novelist and director, Stephen Fry adds writer of a wonderfully witty new pantomime to his credits.

CINDERELLA is a tale of passion, jealousy, cross-dressing, injustice, chocolate, madness, cruelty, ice-cream, hatred, revenge, jelly, unrequited love, envy, tarts, forgiveness, music, laughter, hope, redemption and most importantly of all, love – the truest, purest love that ever was. And cake. So much cake you won’t believe.

'A sophisticated panto, lovingly restored by a theatrical aristocracy who treasure the form as a staple of British theatre.'
The Sunday Times on The Old Vic's production of Aladdin, with Ian McKellen as Widow Twankey.
