REDGRAVE AND JONES STRUGGLE IN OLD VIC MUCH ADO
Truly great actors, a fine director , a great theatre. So how did Vaneaasa Redgrave , James Earl Jones, Mark Rylance and Kevin Spacey allow this truly dreadful production to happen? Redgrave and Jones n the opening night struggled pysically and vocally with a set that sent the dialogue echoing into the flies . The 1944 setting was pointless with half the dialogue in Us accents with substandard diction. A substantial number of the audience left at half time: out of respect and embarrassment. Only peter Wight showed how to speak the Bard. Please put this show out of its misery soon.
