This Daisy is a delight, stupendously silly but completely charming
What's On Stage
An absolute must-see for anybody who loved the Enid Blyton school stories of Malory Towers or St Clares, Denise Deegan's delicious satire on 1920s girls' boarding schools is a zippy and heartharming affair, that doesn't become too mean. Produced by Go People, this adventure combines a plucky young heroine, midnight feasts, lashings of ginger beer, sports matches and snobbery from her peers; all in good spirit, this is an ode to the stories we used to love when growing up. Daisy's new adventure will be directed by Paulette Randall this Christmas!
Grangewood School for Girls is about to get a shock; the year is 1927 and they have just accepted their first, god forbid, scholarship girl in the form of upbeat Daisy Meredith, an adventurous young lady with plenty of pluck and a nose for trouble! With the help of her new best friend Trixie, she must negotiate her way through the hierarchies of school cliques and foil the snooty Sybil Burlington? And seeing as it is boarding school, she tries to figure out the mysterious secret of their Russian music teacher, try to find buried treasure and learn to play hockey for an all important match - just by reading a book! A fantastic way to bond for mothers, daughters and friends, join Daisy in her first-ever school adventure!
