Goats has the potential to be a fascinating and illuminating piece
The Stage
In a small town in Syria, soldiers are treated as heroes and starving families are fed on propaganda. One party-leader strikes upon the idea to give the gift of a goat to every family that loses a son.
"Goats" is a dis-quieting new play that challenges the realities 'truth' and raises the question, "Has anyone ever told the truth? Has anyone ever demanded it? Does anyone want it? Does anyone even need it?"
This new play is a part of the Royal Court's project working with playwrights from Syria and Lebanon and is sure to provide an alarming new way in which to view the world.
