A new work is in the, erm, works by the subversive Scottish playwright!
Arch surrealist playwright Anthony Neilson is at it again with a brand-new play in the works that will be created with the cast, ideas, but other than that, completely unscripted to begin with. Starring Matt Smith, the play will be created in a free-style process that allows input from everybody involved.
Known for his in-your-face theatre style, with full-on sex and violence often shocking the chattering classes, Unreachable tells the story of an obsessive film director on the never-ending quest to find the perfect lighting setup for his art.
Neilson is widely regarded as a renegade throughout the live theatre world, and has cultivated a reputation for producing ground-breaking and imaginative new work. A favourite guest artist at the Royal Court Theatre, his previous productions include Narrative, The Get Out, The Wonderful World of Dissocia, Relocated, Get Santa! The Censor, The Lying Kind and Heredity.
