The outstanding Chris Thorpe returns to the Royal Court with his new play; Victory Condition. Directed by Royal Court Artistic director, Vicky Featherstone. A production that delves deep into humanity and makes us question our everyday actions.
Maybe you're sat here reading this thinking you're the only one, but what if you're one of many... reading the same line in exact unison to one another. This is what Chris Thorpe is making his audience's understand with Victory Condition. Based in the South African City of Johannesburg, a thousand people take a sip of coffee at the same time, completely unaware that around them people are doing the exact same thing, this meaning they form part of a group. Thorpe's play considers what it means when everything is happening simultaneously, and what impact that may have.
So what are you waiting for, put down that coffee and join the many others in what could be the answer to Thorpe's conspiracy.
