It takes both McGregor and the concept of the three-act ballet to a brave and entirely exhilarating new place.
The Guardian
Wayne McGregor's Olivier-award winning meditation on the remarkable life and works of Virginia Woolf enjoys its first revival from The Royal Ballet after a much-praised 2015 premiere. Starring Alessandra Ferri and Mara Galeazzi and set to a specially commissioned score from Max Richter, this compelling triptych is a must for fans of exhilarating choreography and moving spectacle.
Taking his lead from some of her most famous novels, McGregor also spent time studying her letters, essays and diaries, adding a second layer to the pieces, creating a visionary and touching portrait of a complicated yet astounding personality.
