Sadlers Wells Theatre

Rosebery Avenue
London, EC1R 4TN

By Bus
Numbers 19, 38 and 341 travel from the West End to the theatre's own bus stop. Many buses travel from Waterloo, Liverpool Street, Euston and Kings Cross stations to the Angel.

Sadler's Wells Express Bus (SWX)
The SWX takes you to Waterloo and Waterloo East stations in 15 minutes (with a stop at Farringdon Thameslink) and on to Victoria Station in less than 30 minutes. The bus waits directly outside the theatre from curtain down and leaves 8 minutes after each evening performance. This is a paid for service, book in advance for £2.00, £1.50 standby on buses. (Please note: the SWX bus does not run for performances in the Lilian Baylis Theatre or the Peacock Theatre).

Due to road works in St John’s Street until January 2008, the SWX will be departing from the opposite side of Rosebery Ave until further notice. Please allow extra time to cross the road which can be very busy at that time of night.

By Tube
Angel (Northern Line City Branch) is a 250-metre walk from Sadler's Wells. Trains run every few minutes northbound to Kings Cross and Euston, and southbound to Bank and London Bridge. For up to date Tube information or to plan your journey, visit Journey Planner.

By Car
There are no turns into St. John St from Pentonville, City and Goswell Roads. The easiest route is from Pentonville Road into the west side of Claremont Square and down Amwell Street.

Sadler's Wells, the Lilian Baylis Theatre and the Peacock Theatre are all inside the congestion charge zone.
