Three exciting new works to celebrate a very important anniversary!
Three modern works of dance combine in one special evening, to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Rambert Dance Company! These new works, created and choreographed by Alexander Whitley, Malgorzata Dzierzon and Patricia Okenwa represent a new generation of choreographers as well as showing the great leaps and bounds (pun intended) taken in modern dance over the company's nine decades. Be part of a very special event, as Contemporaries will also be presented in rep with Joseph Haydn's The Creation, a work that marries both dance and opera together. A must-see for dance afficianados!
Alexander Whitley's Frames presents 12 performers who work together and in solo with 70 interlocking metal bars, in a geometric tour-de force that melds dance and engineering. Malgorzata Dzierzon's new work explores migration through moving screens and projections, while Hydrargyrum aims to examine the themes of both connection and disconnection.
