The Globe's Wonder season moves inside this winter, becoming Wonder Noire! Beginning with this adaptation of John Milton's epic poem of temptation and virtue of a young woman at the hands of the debauched god Comus.
When a brother and sister get lost in the wood on a journey, after they are separated, the Lady finds herself trapped by Comus, God of revelry, disguised as a villager. Taken to his mysterious palace, she is soon imprisoned on a cursed chair where Comus proceeds to lead her into temptation, waving pleasure and wantoness under her nose in the face of her virtue and morality, leading her on an adventure to a warped world full of horror and unpredictability, that she may never excape from.
