POMP & CIRCUMSTANCES

The Birmingham Royal Ballet make a long-awaited return to perform three varied and touching ballets.

Pomp and Circumstances offers three very different ballets.

David Bintley's ever-popular and much-loved 'Still Life' at the Penguin Café, last seen in London in 2001, features a varied, amusing and touching array of creatures seeking shelter from the storm.

The programme is completed with George Balanchine's stunning abstract dance piece Serenade and Frederick Ashton's Enigma Variations, which brings Edward Elgar and his friends to life in dance.
