Return to the Sixties and celebrate 50 years of rock!
Relive those halcyon days, that golden era of beat music with the very same hit bands of the 60s including The Pacemakers, The Searchers, the trouser-splitting P.J. Proby, The Fortunes, Brian Poole and Chip Hawkes of The Tremeloes. What a line-up!
Celebrating 50 years of rock and roll, this celebratory tour takes you back to the decade of the British Invasion when Merseyside bands ruled the world and outshadowed their American contempories of the time. Experiencing this original 60s line-up as they perform their feel-good classics with the same complex harmonies and fervour will transport you back in time, and also introduce newer rock and roll fans to the artists that really did start it all!
Arguably marking the birth of the modern pop band, the beat artists introduced the world to the rock group centered around lead, rhythm, bass guitars and drums. Now more than five decades on, this format continues to dominate the charts today.Performance date: 16 November 2014
Suitable for ages 8+
Due to serious illness, Gerry Marsden has had to pull out of the tour, however the Pacemakers will still appear.
You may be required to wear a mask during this performance. Please contact the venue directly for more information.
