Known for his soul-stirring symphonies and sonatas, Tchaikovsky has left an indelible mark on the landscape of classical music history. It is surprising therefore, that little is known of his personal life. The West End debut of Hershey Felder's explores this side of the closeted gay composer's works and life in Our Great Tchaikovsky at London's The Other Palace Theatre for a strictly limited 4-week run this Autumn.
Renowned Canadian playwright, composer and actor Felder has an affinity for the great masters of music, having created a multitude one-man biographical dramas about Gershwin, Chopin and Bernstein amongst others. A sombre and poignant play about Tchaikovsky's tortuous relationship with societal oppression and how it impacted his work, Our Great Tchakovsky was met with rapturous reviews after it debuted in
