For one night only Martin Shaw, Jenny Seagrove and Nichola McAuliffe present Horses' Tales - an evening of music, comedy, poetry and more in aid of The Horse Refuge, at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on Sunday 18 October.
Three of the country's brightest stars of screen and stage will perform equine poetry, prose and anecdotes accompanied by the classical guitar of Simon James in what will be a magnificent celebration of the horse's contribution to our society and heritage.
Martin Shaw, best known for his performance in the BBC's Judge John Deed and star of An Ideal Husband on Broadway and A Man For All Seasons in the West End, will be appearing with his Judge John Deed co-star Jenny Seagrove, who has recently played leading roles in West End smash hits The Letter and Absurd Person Singular. Joining them will be Olivier award-winning actress Nichola McAuliffe, co-star of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium and most recently seen in the film Cheri.
The Horse Refuge was founded in 1995 to end the cruelty and suffering of sick and unwanted horses. The organisation cares for physically and mentally damaged horses, enabling the animals to live full and happy lives. Profit from Horses' Tales will go directly to The Horse Refuge.
