Inspired from Blake Edwards' Oscar-winning film starring Jack Lemmon, Owen McAfferty follows up his successful sleeper hit Quietly with this brand-new re-imagining of this tragic story of co-dependence and desperation.
When a young Belfast couple meet up in the airport departures lounge on their way to a new and exciting life in London, neither of them can know what the future has in store for them. As they arrive in 1962's swinging London, they fall down a miasmic rabbit hole of alcoholism, which they cannot escape from.
The play appeared at Tobacco Factory Theatres, earlier this year, as part of the sell-out and critically acclaimed Directors' Cuts 2014 season presented by the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Days of Wine and Roses will be playing at the Trafalgar Studios for one week only, so be sure not to miss out on this searing production.
