Fresh from his Hobbit duties, BAFTA-winning actor Martin Freeman takes on one of Shakespeare's most challenging roles as Richard III, which forms part of Jamie Lloyd's exciting new Trafalgar Transformed Season. Set in the 1970s during the Wilson Government, the bitter, hunchbacked Richard is determined to gain political power at any cost, with a secret coup planned to overthrow his opponents. As the bodies -literal and figurative - mount up, Richard becomes ever ore paranoid and delusioned with the power he gains, and fears answering for his crimes. Fans of Freeman will be in for a treat, as the actor is set to play against type!
