A View From The Bridge

star 1star 2star 3star 4

Until April 11, 2015

The Young Vic's powerful and stripped back revival of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge comes to the Wyndhams Theatre, with Mark Strong returning in the role of tortured longshoreman Eddie Carbone. Set in Brooklyn, Eddie agrees to shelter his wife's two newly arrived Sicilian cousins from the authorities. But when Roldolpho, the younger of the pair takes a shine to Eddie's orphaned niece Catherine, a hidden jealousy rears its head, and Eddie commits the worst betrayal of trust to the family. Nominated for seven Olivier Awards including Best Revival.

American Buffalo

April 16-June 27, 2015

Damian Lewis returns to the West End to star in David Mamet's dark comedy about three thieves whose loyalty is put to the test when their heist starts to go very wrong. Directed by Daniel Evans, American Buffalo is Lewis' first London stage appearance since 2010.

The Mentalists

July 3-September 26, 2015

Stephen Merchant and Steffan Rhodri star in this revival of Richard Bean's darkly comic 2002 two-hander, as two men holed up in a faceless hotel with a camera. Nothing sexual is going on; quite the opposite. One of the men, Ted, is determined on setting the world to rights by creating his own Utopia, and intends to record a manifesto proclaiming it to the world. However, his cameraman Morrie is a benign fantasist and tries without much success to talk Ted down from his growing fury. But what dark truths are holding these two men together as such an odd couple?
