Award season is upon us with nominations and winners being announced left, right and centre. On Sunday night the Evening Standard Theatre Awards announced their 2017 winners.
The critically acclaimed The Ferryman, which is currently playing at the Gielgud Theatre, bagged the coveted Best Play Award at the event on Sunday night. But that wasn't all! Sam Mendes, who directed this work, also picked up the award for Best Director at the award ceremony.
