I found this play thought evoking & charming.I felt all of the actors were wonderful as was the singing and I only heard positive comments and praise at the end of the show - I would encourage anyone young or senior to give this performance a chance . My only negative comment is that Prunella Scales voice did not carry well despite the fact I was sitting in the front stalls.Two stars can only be described as a tragedy.

I took my daughter to see this as part of a fun day out in London. Unfortunately although the theatre does warn you to turn off your mobile it also sells tickets to people unable to maintain silence during the performance. The prolonged gurgles and yells from one particular patron were very disturbing and ruined the atmosphere. During the interval the manager refused to do anything as it "was a difficult situation" (despite my not being the only person complaining) & suggested I write to her. My daughter & I left during the interval & I wrote to the manager the next day. This was two weeks ago & as yet I haven't had the curtesy of a reply. While having every sympathy with the managers embarrassment - an emotion I'm sure the carer of the handicapped girl relied upon - I do not understand why it cannot be made clear at the point of sale of tickets that noisy patrons will be asked to leave the theatre.
