Outstanding, fun musical theatre

some superb musical actors/actress. Simple set not clogged up with lots of nonsense. A nice small theatre to keep the intimate feel. Nothing not to like. Go see it.

A Fantastick Night out

This is not a west end musical with a cast of 100s. If that's what you want then go and see Oliver up the road. This is an intimate show with fabulous performances. It manages to move between very funny and very moving. Go see it!

I loved it!

What a miserable bunch of people there are writing reviews of here! I thought the show was wonderful. Pure escapism. A daft story, good songs and excellent performances. Edward Petherbridge is brilliantly funny. The intimate venue perfectly suits this fab little show. There are also no bad seats at the Duchess. Even at the back of the dress circle, we had a very enjoyable experience. Knock back some wine, settle into your seats and enjoy it!

Thoroughly Enjoyable Afternoon

Thought the show was very good indeed. The acting was superb - particularly Carl Au; Hadley Fraser and the comedy duo of Paul Hunter and Edward Petherbridge was a joy. Just as an aside, the ladies toilets were fab. - other London Theatres please take note!!

Good, but not fantastic

The cast is excellent, but the minimalist staging doesn't work. The Henry and Mortimer characters are funny, but with this staging seem to echo "Waiting for Godot" instead of a romantic musical. The roles of El Gallo and the Narrator should have been split into two parts by two different actors. The sound could have used some work, too. The orchestra often ran over the vocals. A shame, because the cast is quite good as is most of the music.

Waste of talented actors

Also left at half time, fell asleep on and off through the first half - paper thin plot - huge mistake having the most memorable number from the show as the opener, as it all just goes downhill from there
