Alistair McDowall grew up in the North East of England. He was a member of the Young Writers Programme and his play Brilliant Adventures was performed as a reading as part of the Young Writers festival in 2012, and was produced at Manchester Royal Exchange. His other credits include Captain Amazing (Live Theatre Newcastle).
