One girl's funny, frank account of losing her Mum to a cult.
The Royal Court Theatre brings their landmark new 2017-18 season to the stage this Autumn, packed full of poignant works from women playwrights all over the world. Tackling radicalism, the injustice of war and the struggles felt by women of all cultures, the exciting new season features Anoushka Warden's first ever professional play, My Mum's A Twat.
While its title may illicit a chuckle, Warden examines the remarkable story of her own upbringing. The darkly humorous monologue chronicles the true account of her rebellious teenage years, but where most teenagers kick out against strict parenting and early curfews, Warden struggled with losing her mother to a cult. Royal Court artistic directs.
