Plays

Fastest Finger First

James Graham's hilarious new play, based on the cheating scandal around the infamous TV contest 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire', heads to the West End after a highly regarded run at the Chichester Festival Theatre.

Following THAT infamous episode of 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' James Graham's (Ink, Labour of Love) Quiz provides a hilarious and and exuberant celebration of the great British TV quiz show. Re-examining the conviction of Charles 'The Coughing Major' Ingram and the allegations of him cheating his way to the £1,000,000 cash prize, Quiz provides an acute analysis of the dangerous new 21st century attitude to truth and lies.

The Inspiration

Following the story of Charles Ingram, Quiz is a fictional imagination of what happened after the episode was broadcast in 2001, the retired army major, is accused of cheating his way to the final using a complicated series of coughs and splutters provided by his wife and an accomplice.
