Guys and Dolls lights up the Royal Albert Hall!
Roll up, roll up the titanic musical, Guys and Dolls, is heading to the Royal Albert Hall! The classic romp is given the concert treatment this October as it lifts the roof off the iconic venue for three performances only.
With West End veteran Stephen Mear set to direct/choreograph and the The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra in the pit, this sizzling musical makes a welcome return to the capital. This semi-staged production will transport you to streets of New York full of gangsters, gamblers and show girls along with some of the biggest tunes in musical theatre, including 'Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat', 'Luck be a Lady' and 'My Time of Day'.
Set during the Great Depression Guys and Dolls tells the story of a pair of big city gamblers and their trouble with love. Sky Masterson is a big city gambler, he's got the flash and he's got the grit but when he falls for mission worker he becomes unstuck. Nathan on the other hand, is a scrappy upstart who's long suffering fiance, club singer Adelaide, has been trying to convince him to marry her for 14 years!
