LA BOHEME

This revival of the much loved La Boheme is definitely different, fresher. It's set in 1930s Paris and the characters are truly credible and easy to relate to. They sang wonderfully, all hitting their top notes to perfection and with feeling. Directed with a light hand by Crispin Lord, it whizzed by and I felt like I hadn't ever seen it before or enjoyed it so much. The friend who I went with had never seen an opera before and was swept away by the emotion and energy.
