SOUNDS AND SORCERY FANTASIA

Loved the original, lot of work has gone to this but missed Micky mouse, good idea but not quite what we expected, could have done without the dancers and just shown the film with additions, disappointed.

NO DISNEY DESPITE PLASTERING IT OVER THEIR ADS -NOT FOR KIDS

I, like many others, have been fooled into believing this is a physical representation of Disney's Fantasia brought to stage in an immersive theatre platform. The reality is a number of Windows XP screensaver-esque projections, flashing lights, papermache sets and occasionally a bit of bizzare interpretive dance in dark hot rooms. THERE IS NO HINT OF DISNEY. As an ex-disney employee myself I found it embarrassing this was even slightly linked to the brand. The sales team have abused the brand name to attract an audience and it has clearly worked judging by the number of scared/ bored children present. Whats worse the wireless headphones provided were often skipping making the whole purpose of them in the experience useless and ruining any chance of immersion. This cheaply made and rushed together piece of 'theatre' set me back £75 for two people and that was a cheap Sunday ticket. I couldn't wait to leave and wouldn't recommend it to anyone - especially not children!!

STAY HOME

I literally could watch a turd float in a color changing pool timed to the music from Fantasia and it would be more entertaining. The venue smelled moldy, musty and the props were very underwhelming. Flowers projected on a screen with a bubble machine operating in plain sight is not worth £36! You are better off going to TKTS and getting discounted tickets to a real show or listen to the music from Fantasia in the comfort of your own flat.

WHAT ? NO MICKEY ?

The level of shoddiness in this event staggered me. Exposed wires and cable ties, badly hung drapes, gaps in the set, things breaking mid performance... The soundtrack urged us to pick a door, any door, but when we were there one room was locked, one was shut due to technical issues and one room had nothing going on in it, leaving us with the giddy choice of 2 doors only. it all had the air of a sixth form art and design project. With the Disney brand involved I expected a bit more than a bubble machine and some bark chippings. At least the usher who told us bluntly to leave one of the rooms had a touch of Disney about her, she had Grumpy down to a tee. Children will probably get something out of this, but I didn't find it worth the ticket cost and would advise people to go see something else.

AMATEUR AND AWFUL PRODUCTION

I can’t believe Disney would be associated with this. My 12 year old drama group produced better productions than this. It was trying to be arty but the end result is something that is simply boring, surrounded by plastic rocks, plastic flowers and awful choreography. I would have been equally unhappy with the experience if this had been free - stay away - colossal waste of money.

POOR

Expected so much more from a production with the Disney name on. Very amateurish and needlessly arty. Wearing headsets to listen to the music you walk through a series of oddly decorated rooms inspired by the film. The final room is the strangest and I can honestly say I didn’t get it. Save your money and watch the original dvd at home instead.

SHOCKINGLY POOR

I expected so much more from this. I see Alice in wonderland last year which was fantastic and being a Disney production thought this would be even better. Wrong. Very wrong. The headphones hardly worked. The smell is awful. The set is cheap and poorly made. I was embarrassed for the actors too. Honestly it isn’t worth it. My son semi enjoyed it but mostly he says that to pacify me.
