If you don't think a cabaret that quotes 18th century lawmakers can be hot as f*ck, then you haven't seen Mother's Ruin.
Time Out Sydney
Tumble back in time with Maeve Marsden and Libby Wood, two of Australia's rising stars of cabaret, as they recount the history of the damned drink from the jungles of Peru to the dingy drinking dens of 18th Century London, via a few speakeasies on the way.
Expect to hear songs from Amy Winehouse, Nina Simone, Martha Wainwright and more as this hysterical and historical cabaret teaches you a thing or two.
Performance date: 30 August 2017
For ages 18 and up
One hour
