JE NE REGRETTE PAS VOIR CECI

I went to see this last night (3rd December) and was absolutely blown away by all of the performances. Elena Rogers is amazing and unfazed as Piaf, beautifully translating her vulgarness and vulnerability as the gutter girl turned international chanteuse that we all know and love. The supporting cast lend great performances in their own right including Katherine Kingsley as a purring Marlene Dietrich and Lorraine Bruce as Toine, Ediths life-long friend, delivering great comic timing in sometimes poignant moments. The whole cast of only 10 in total all deliver and I cannot fault this production. I would highly recommend you rush out and buy any tickets left to catch this run before it's too late.

MAGNIFICENT

Saw Elena Rogers as Piaf on Saturday 6th December and it was an outstanding performance. Rogers was Piaf from the moment the curtain went up and the audience's belief in her did not hesitate for a second through out the show. Some tremendous perfomances from all the cast - thoroughly enjoyable.

STUNNING

I picked up a late ticket because I wanted somewhere warm to spend 2 hours. What a treat. Elena Roger is totally mesmerising in this, whether she is facing the audience or has her back to it. Her voice is stunning (and I am not a particular fan of Piaf music), but even more extraordinary is the way she ages during the 90 mins. From young woman to dying old woman, and it is nothing to do with make-up; it is pure acting. The other parts are slightly odd interpretations, a mixture of accents etc...but actually every one is delightful in its own way. In the end the entire audience was weeping and it is hard to understand why. From this account Piaf was promiscuous, irascible and a drug addict but somehow you loved her.
