Why See Marie Curie?

MusicalsTrue-life HistoricalDrama

Award Winning Korean Musical

The dramatic, award winning new Korean musical exploring the choices faced by one of history's greatest women, Marie Curie, comes to London for it's English-language debut! First showing in 2020 in South Korea, a year later it had completely swept up at the Korean Musical Awards, winning five awards including the prestigious Grand Prize. After a successful South Korea tour in 2023, the play has been adapted to English by Tom Ramsay and Emma Fraser and is hotly anticipated.

Marie Curie changed human history when she discovered radium and its ability to treat cancer. Yet, despite the Nobel Prize and global recognition that followed, how will she face the ethical quandary of the fact that factory hands working with it are suffering the sinister effects of radium poisoning?
