Nominated for two 2023 Olivier Awards!
Returning to the West End following its sold-out, Olivier-nominated run in early 2023, this extraordinary new play makes an additional West End bow. Through a mesmerising display of music, movement and verse, Nouveau Riche and playwright Ryan Calais Cameron's For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When The Hue Gets Too Heavy presents a story of six young black men in group therapy. From merrily swapping fashion tips to experiences of profound sadness, For Black Boys... offers a window into black masculinity and identity in a freeform style that captures the imagination from the very first scene.
Commissioned by New Diorama Theatre, the production quickly moved to The Royal Court's mainstage, where it received widespread raves from audiences and critics. Don't miss your chance to catch this smart, thought-provoking show as it opens at the Garrick Theatre for a strictly limited run from February 2024!
