Simon Callow is set to grace the West End Stage once again with this new touring one-man play that has the critics raving.
Whilst most of us are familiar with the adventures of Jesus Christ through reading the Bible and watching films, Matthew Hurt's play sees Callow playing multiple characters, giving a new voice to those who had followed, supported or betrayed - Jesus during his travels, and their stories handed down through the ages.
Through events such as the raising of Lazarus, the wedding at Caana and his last journey into Jerusalem, Callow portrays the tyrants, traitors and madmen in Jesus' life, and asks people of all faiths that burning question: what made the man who inspired the world for thousands of years?
