“Gerry Adams has disguised himself as a new-born baby and successfully infiltrated my family home.”
Oscar nominated actor Stephen Rea returns to the London stage in this brand new play from David Ireland. Known for his articulate work, Ireland once again draws on the Irish conflict for this portrait of Eric Miller, a Belfast loyalist and grandfather who is convinced his five-week old granddaughter is Gerry Adams...
For Eric, The Troubles are not over and even as his family beg him to stop looking to the past, he knows he must protect his cultural heritage, in any way possible.
Belfast born Rea, who last appeared on stage in 2014's Ballyturk, stars as Eric, with direction from Vicky Featherstone in this world premiere, as part of The Royal Court's 60th Anniversary season.
