Why See Laid?

Comedy & Stand-up

You've got to break a few eggs to make an omelette...

Fresh from Edinbirgh's Fringe Festival, LA-based comedian Natalie Palamides brings the off-the-wall comedy of Laid to London's Soho Theatre for a two-week run this Autumn. Widely known for her viral appearances on social media zeitgeist Buzzfeed, Palamides has been exceptionally well received by critics at this year's festival, leaving them scratching their heads and rolling in the aisles at the same time.

Laid is a one-woman show that explores the recipe of motherhood but there's more than a dash of melodrama and a huge helping of absurdity in Palamides surreal moral dilemma. The comedian plays a woman who lays an egg every day, and is forced to choose wether to raise it or eat it. Through her hilarious physical comedy and enthralling silliness, Palamides captures something vastly more philosophical and poignant.
