BRILLIANT PANTO

We went to see Peter Pan at Woking last night and we loved it! The sets were fantastic the actors were brilliant, especially Peter Pan and Anton du Beck is a consummate showman. We loved every minute.

PETER PAN

Fantastic pantomime whith brilliant sets and actors and songs and costumes worth going to see

5.0 star rating from Woking, England

FANTASTIC

I don’t know why everyone is complaining- This was Brilliant- we saw Lion King in the west end and paid a fortune for the tickets and it was completely low budget and dull compared to this performance. Peter Pan far exceeded my expectations and the cast and scenery and songs and jokes were pure entertainment for the whole family- Thanks for a great Christmas Panto Performance

4.0 star rating V Chapman from Woking, England

VERY GOOD

We took our grandchildren to see the pantomime today. Two of them had never seen a pantomime before and they thoroughly enjoyed it, as did all 10 of our party.

DISSAPOINTED

What a waste of money. The whole show was filled with smutty jokes, too much dancing and not enough panto. No storyline to speak of. Peter pan was a byline to Smee and Mrs Smee spending their evening doing a duo show. Hardly any interaction from the other players. Not enough glitter and children's interaction. Not enough story telling, and as for the crocodile 🐊 a one min appearance where captain hook walks into his Jaws and is gone. Children go expecting a story of Peter Pan but that's not really what they get. It was entertain, Smee was funny, Dame was fabulous and tinker bell!! Well, where was her green dress.? The best part was the sing off between Smee & Mrs Smee. After spending a whacking £260 it was truly disappointing.

WORST PANTO

We have been going to pantos for the last 10 years and I am always crying with laughter and come away feeling festive and happy. This one started with characters talking at break neck speed, had no topical or geographical jokes, Anton Du Beke had no charisma at all. The dame is normally hilarious but was just crude. The toilet jokes were not funny. The songs were being and the singing was awful. The dance routines were too long. There was no storyline at all. The only saving grace was Paul Chuckle who was profession and natural and should have been the star of the show not Anton. Not a comparison at all for last year’s hilarious show!

2.0 star rating Daniel from Woking, England

DISAPPOINTING

By far the worst professional panto I've ever seen. Paul and Nigel are brilliant and the smutty jokes hold it together for the older audience. Anton was a bad choice, he is a bad actor and a weak leader. The sound levels aren't right and you can't hear the actors singing or talking whilst music plays. Paul Chuckle's classic sketches are played out well by him but Anton's bad acting let's them down somewhat. There is no real storyline, this show is a total mess. So disappointing!

NOT GOOD!!

Went to see Peter Pan last night with my young kids. Really really disappointed by the performance was not child friendly, really rude adult humour! Can only really mention 2 acts which were ok to watch out of the whole show. They didn’t even really follow the story was all over the place. Not worth the money.

DISAPPOINTED

I’m sorry to say I was disappointed. I’ve never thought of writing a review for a panto before as we often come out all laughing and recalling parts and we all have our favourite parts. I think we only truly enjoyed one part (12 days) and the rest was too crude (beyond jokey innuendo) for young kids. For what we paid I am shocked how short it was too. I booked months ago so didn’t have the option to check reviews but wish I could have done!

DISAPPOINTING.

Probably the poorest panto we've seen at Wimbledon. We book this venue each year as our start to a family celebration of Christmas. nO audience participation , orchestra was so loud you couldn't hear the principle singers. Male dance group not really suitable for this pantomime. Let's hope there is a better show next year as this was not a good production.

FOR ADULTS NOT KIDS !

Took my 5 year olds. Story was hopeless, smuttyness overwhelming. Not funny and inappropriate for kids and since when does Captain Hook turn into Poirot? Absoulte rubbish but moreso a huge disappointment and a waste of FIFTY QUID A TICKET !!

1.0 star rating Sandra from Woking, England

UNDERWHELMING

Every year we kick off Christmas celebrations with panto in Woking. This year is the first year I feel it was a very poor show. Bad jokes, bad sound, singing voices were nothing special, storyline.. I lost interest even trying to follow. I need to book somewhere else to kick off our celebrations. Sadly not even a sevuuuuun for Anton.

ABYSMAL

Tired , uninspiring , lame - plot laudable acting questionable. Last years with Brian Conley was excellent this is like some throwback to a sad 70’s seaside show. Appalling

1.0 star rating James from Gloucestershire

DEEPLY DISAPPOINTING

Any resemblance to J M Barrie's Peter Pan is purely accidental. No coherent story line. In fact no storyline at all. Drag artist (??) with predictable so-called 'Adult humour'. Far too many dancing routines which were completely out of context. Whatever David Suchet was thinking when he agreed to play in such a travesty of a production is beyond me. The final straw was when he (Captain Hook) transmogrified into Hercule Poirot. I thought WHAT IS GOING ON!! A complete and utter waste of money.

1.0 star rating Susanne from Haslemere, England

DISSAPOINTED

Lacked sparkle or magic. Anton held the whole thing together and worked very hard. Crude and inappropriate dialogue for a pantomime. Lustre, fairyland was missing. Worst panto I have seen at Woking. Nothing special.

WORST PANTO IN 30 YEARS - LOW BUDGET

Outstandingly poor. I see 3 pantos a year for last 40 years and this is the worst, low budget, untalented, desperate attempt at panto I’ve ever seen. Now we all like a bit of induendo for the adults, this is filth.. every other “joke” from the same was poo related and one so called joke “ Are you putting the tree up yourself?” - “no in the lounge” - pretty vile right. No special effects, repetitive scenery, basic poor costumes, no frills - would pass as amateur dramatics nothing more. So disappointing Do not waste your money. Honestly no storyline 2nd half a farce Started 7pm 15 min interval all over 8:55 When it came to curtain call no one clapped Becuase we all knew show was supposed to finish 9:30 Very bad

1.0 star rating Collin from Woking, England

VERY VERY POOR.

Show advertised as 2hr20. Starting 7pm. It was all over at 9pm inc interval. First half was ok, but the humour was dirty smut. No special effects bar a crappy crocodile. Second half started 8:20 and was over 8:55. The audience seemed confused by the sudden ending, like scenes were missed out. No one clapped as we thought it was the start of the ball???? So massively cut down in time. The acting was poor, possibly the worst panto we have ever seen and it was smutty and filth in the innuendos. Just don’t waste your money.

PETER PAN

I was looking forward to this but found it amateurish. Acting was not good ( but then I don’t think any actors were cast ) jokes were tacky & very inappropriate for kids & the plot line seemed to be more cucklevision & strictly than Peter Pan. The guy who played Peter Pan tho was really good.

PETER PAN

We went with our 2 young children, to a Christmas Peter Pan panto - as previous reviewers have mentioned - most of the jokes were hugely inappropriate - founded on cringeworthy double entendre "I've got something soft and pink - would anyone like to try it?" "it's been so long I can't remember who ties who up first" "where are my buccaneers? - on the side of your head" - plus a truly seat squirming scene with Anton du Bec holding a cucumber in front of his groin moving it up and down, before Mr Chuckle cut it off! Really? Yes!! I gave this 1 star as you can't give it zero. The whole thing was just dreadfully done - everything was second rate. i'd wished I hadn't taken my children - I felt irresponsible. What Anton Du Bec was doing there I really don't know - he must have lost his senses. I believe he has young children as well. He must be aware of how "wrong" this show is. All the audience were families and very few laughed at the inappropriate jokes.

BORING PETER PAN

In years gone by the pantomime was full of sparkle and lavish sets with a strong cast, under this new company for pantomime it's just gone downhill with boring amateur style sets, most now done by flying backdrops. It felt rushed, Anton was good, Paul Chuckle was funny, put the rest was a amateur production cast. Smutty rude jokes that were a step to far for children, when it got to the end it ended suddenly no lavish wedding scene with the ballroom. We heard others saying the same, disappointed especially compared to when ATG did them theirselves, I hope they take note that your panto is poor and boring and needs serious improvement for future years. Don't waste your money, go elsewhere

1.0 star rating Amanda from Woking, England

SHAMBOLIC

This is by far the worst panto I've seen. It didn't have a storyline, so was hard to follow. Panto should be funny, this was not! Incredibly amateurish. The cast didn't really jell with each other. I was completely underwhelmed, was hard to clap....Real shame.

1.0 star rating RJS from Woking, England

DREADFUL

The sound level and quality were terrible The singing especially the females was inaudible at times. The sound engineers definitely need to look into it as it ruined the whole panto. The show itself was okay but not the best

1.0 star rating Debra from Windsor England

APPALLING

Extremely offended by the whole performance. Far too smutty for children and I found it uncomfortable to watch at times. No storyline, poor quality acting, scenery abysmal, far from a pleasant entertaining matinee performance.

1.0 star rating Carole from Bristol,

DISAPPOINTING

Don't bother! Very disappointing. No storyline whatsoever. David Suchet did very little. Mostly taken up with Andy Ford (who is good). I hope next year's pantomime will be better.

1.0 star rating Selena P from Woking, England

DISSAPPOINTED

It terrible this year. I have been to see the Panto at Woking for many years. This year was such a disappointment. Terrible script, awful acting.... Some parts were painful to watch... Such a pity.

1.0 star rating Nicky from Bristol,

DISAPPOINTING

I don't know why the decided to do a panto with so little story and so much rubbish filler in it. Really poor.
