The Netherland's premiere dance company presents a mixed bill programme of four pieces, all under the artistic direction of Paul Lightfoot. The programme opens with the three-parter Schubert/Sad Case/Some Other Time, a collaboration by Paul Lightfoot and Sol Leon. This is followed by Edward Clug's work, Mutual Comfort followed by a solo from esteemed choreographer Hans van Manen, before the evening concludes with Alexander Ekman's Cacti.
Nederlands Dans Theater was formed in 1959 by 1959 by Benjamin Harkarvy, Aart Verstegen and Carel Birnie, who, together with a group of 18 members of the Dutch National Ballet, wanted to break away from traditional dance repetoire in favour of producing and performing more modern works.
